The McKinstry's

We arrived in the Emerald Isle yesterday in actual summer, not just the 'season' but actually a proper summer, amazing, and what great weather to have the McKinstry 2013 family reunion.

I am honoured to have been included in the reunion, even though my Bajan roots are Cozier (you can see that as McKinstry's lack a bootsy and I certainly do not). Tonight the people started to arrive and we had our first meal at our lovely hotel.  Melita, the lady who organised the bespoke tour, did a wonderful job, she use to be a teacher, and now plans these specialised tours. My absolute dream job.
She even had gift bags for each of us, itineraries (although nice, mine had pictures, but obviously not a competition ;)). A lovely evening meeting and reuniting with the McKinstry's, will miss having the Old Dears to myself, but I realise they are pretty fabulous so I need to share them!

  1. Amanda, so sorry to hear about the recent change in plans. I appreciate all the time, care and love that you put into this adventure for the Old Dears. You showed them a fabulous time, despite the bumps. They are true role models of living life to the fullest and you are following in their footsteps as we all try to do in our own little ways. Thanks again for being such a wonderful Carer. Safe travels and I am hooked on the blog so I am looking forward to the next adventure that you and Lola tackle! Luv, Tans.

  2. Hi Tans, thank you so much for your kind words! I have truly loved every minute of having them despite the bumps. I, like all of us, would do anything for these fabulous ladies. I am happy to report she really seems better than we left, not perfect, but better. If you and Mike and family ever fancy a European trip please come and stay any time. The boys are gorgeous and would love to have you all.
    Lots of love, Amanda
