Dinner and Emma!

What a wonderful surprise! Saturday we planned a night out with Chris and Kerry.  We went out of our neighbourhoods and to a place called Craft.  It was lively and a lot of fun.  We chose it as Chris is a beer lover and we heard it was quite good. Just before heading home I found out Emma from Phuket was in town.  This changed the going home plan and we had the best night together.

I miss this girl!

The 'Boys' Dinner

Last night we had two families for dinner and there were four boy children.  It was so lovely, as we were all the same page when they were just tearing through the flat.  The energy levels were high and they had the best night.  As did the grown-ups, after a tough week it was just what I needed.  Luis was top chef, as usual, and the food delicious.

A great Friday night!

Painful Week

This week has been painful.  I have made a huge error in my banking that has cost me a few sleepless nights.  I have spent hours beating myself up about it and really had to drag myself back from a dark place.  The fact is I am so crazy busy during the day, go home and play paw patrol or what not while Luis is crazy busy working and then crawl into bed does not help.  Too much on ones plate, leads to mistakes.  Now I have to just hope humanity prevails and if it does not I have to accept it.  Walking by Sebastian and Lola last night sleeping and going to see Sebastians's teacher today made me feel so much better.  In the 30 hour day I require to finish everything, I can say he is not noticing it, that he is a happy chappie and thats ultimately what matters.  That something was bound to give and I need to forgive myself this error and hope it gets fixed.

And then this morning, I saw this and it gave my somewhere else to direct my anger rather than to myself!

The Bridge on the River Kwai - Kanchanaburi

I have wanted to get here for some time.  But we never seemed to be able to make it.  The pollution was high in Bangok, Luis was working loads, so me and Carly decided to take an over night road trip to Kanchanaburi.  A lovely little spot on the River Kwai, and we were also able to visit the Bridge that was built by the allied prisoners of war in WW2.    We stayed in a great little hotel and had a great mini break.  In fact, it was the first time Carly and I have ever hung outside of our building!

A great Thai vegan restaurant that we ate at twice.
The pool that over looked the mountains.  I could not quite get a good picture of the mountains which were beautiful.

I was shocked when a train actually came over!

The four us had a great time together. Lots of laughter, I need to leave the city more often.

Cat Cafe Again...

The cat cafe was such a hit Sebastian begged to bring Willa on Friday.  So off we went.  This time there were a lot more people and they definitely thought the kids were too loud.  That the cats needed silence, it was a little annoying.  Sebastian does not do quiet so well.  I pretty much ignored the passive aggressive looks and comments and let the kids play with the cats!

Then went for pizza at Willa's, Sebastians ideal Friday night.

Hump Day - Mexican and Cat Cafe

Luis very rarely has a night off work, therefore when he did he planned a big adventure... To the new cat cafe for dinner, luckily I ended up having some say and suggested a. Mexican close by first for dinner.  There is something about eating dinner amongst a lot of cats that did not sounds appealing in anyway.  We went to Charlie Brown's first, very popular among the staff and I had wanted to eat there for ages.   It certainly is the best Mexican I have had here. Helped the owner is actually from Mexico.  The cat cafe was not as smelly as I had anticipated and Sebastian loved it.  However, I will stick to dogs!

Sebastian and Willa

All last year these two were arch enemies.  It was always tricky at the pool as they would not play together and fought over other friends.  But I had a feeling they would end up best buds.  This year every other word out of Sebastian's mouth is Willa.  Willa..Willa.. Willa! I cannot do anything without making sure Willa is free or that there is no potential for him to see her.  Sunday I wanted to take Lola to our favourite outdoor spot.  Sebastian always fights it but this weekend I had an idea....invite Willa.  Sure enough he ran out of the door and could not wait to go.

Although not looking thrilled here!

At least now I have a way to get him places, well as long as she is free!
