Lola and Sebastian Fun Day

I cannot remember when I have been more tired than I was last night.   Sebastian woke up at precisely 5:01am and wanted to be up and doing things.  Yay for me.  We then took Lola to a dog park for brunch.  She was so happy seeing the other dogs, it was so nice to see her like her 10 yr old self.  Then I had to run off to visit a friend in hospital.  I just got home from there, had a small bite to eat and took Sebastian and his friend to Harbourland (my nightmare place).  They love it.  By 9pm I thought I would die of tiredness.  Luckily I survived.

A great Sunday for the kiddos in my family (Lola and Sebastian).

The Abandoned Mansion Again

Saturday was a beautiful day, the sky was blue, the air was clean and felt fresh at a cool temperature of 28 degrees (funny how cool that feels here!).  We had a lovely morning at the pool swimming and playing with chalk.  Then came the preparation that we were going out at night.  Sebastian is handling this way better, he thinks that all teachers have a Saturday staff meeting at night now.  I do not think we would quite make it out the door on any other night now.

Then in the evening we headed to the abandoned mansion.  We came once about a year ago but just for a quick drink and to look around.  It is such a cool spot.  Prohibition is the theme, they have a band and it was really good fun.

My cocktail 'Bonnie and Clyde'

Then a little bubbles! A lovely evening.

Sebastian's Buddies

It has been quite a big academic year for Sebastian.  He has made the jump from Early Years 1 to Early Years 2, same teacher and now the oldest of the EY centre.  He also is allowed in after school activities such as basketball, Spanish Club and Fun Maths Club.  But the best thing is now he is forming such great friendships, last year he still had friends but he was at the stage of playing by himself or just everyone.  He is always begging for playdates and I just love seeing him and his bestie's together.

I thought we had a few more years before everything is about the friends but think our time is limited!

Lola Sunday Funday

Poor Lola probably misses The Bahamas the most or in fact anyone of her other homes.  Luckily she has far less energy than she did even two years ago but I am quite sure she misses the freedom of being outside.  Therefore, Sunday has become her day.  Yesterday we took her to the dog park and then out for brunch.  The dog park is not amazing, well not as huge as the other parks.  But still close and it does the trick.  She was one happy puppy.

Funday Sunday!

Friendsgiving

Saturday night we went to a Friendsgiving at a friend's flat in our building.  It was so special, a million kids all running around and having a blast.  It is just how I like things.  Sebastian's three nest buds were there and he had the best time. The food was good, company as well, a nice way to spend a Saturday evening.

I also made a kick ass cauliflower cheese and as not really an American thing was super happy with the feedback.

Sushi and Soy Sauce

The days seem to be flying by now.  School, Sebastian and life has me so busy that a whole week goes by before I realise I have not updated my online diary!  This weekend was jam packed with events.  Friday a quiet night in.  We watched Arthur Christmas and in the last 48 hours Sebastian has watched it 7 times.  He loves it.  Saturday I then got busy making our costumes.  Me and Luis attended an 'S' brunch for a friend's 50th.  Our costumes were hands down the best!  I even made Sebastian one just for fun.

It was a great bunch at the W hotel as I got a four course vegan meal.  That rarely happens and so we rarely go.  It was delicious and the dessert par like something I have never seen before.  We then raced home to go to our next event...
