One of our favourite Thai restaurants is Buropa, a short walk away from us. It is Essan Thai food, which is from the East. It is authentic, a great price, lovely setting and we love it. What is lucky/unlucky is that Rebecca gets to be here when Nicola and family are. It meant Rebecca and Nicola can sight see while we are at work and also gives us time altogether. Dinner was so fun last night, remembering all our old times together. I also got to meet up with Nadia too, who I see far too little of!
All about our past adventures in and around Basel, Switzerland; Quito, Ecuador; Phuket Thailand; Grand Bahama, The Bahamas; and now back in Thailand. Featuring Amanda, Luis, Sebastian and of course Lola

Back to Bangkok
We left Samed just in time. The rain came down like I have not seen for years. A beautiful storm to cool Thailand down.
Look what we found on the island!!
Friends and Triple Cocktails
Rebecca is a trooper. More like a cousin than a friend, we have a long history due to our mothers days at nursing school. We also both belong to the orphan club. Not the best club to belong to but hey ho. We have so many stories of our childhood and so much shared happiness and sadness. I am just so happy that she is here and we get to talk about all our times together. Rebecca also made all my friends laugh and they thought her way of always having three cocktails at a time was hillarious.
Kerala Coco Resort, Koh Samed
I loved love this place. Every time we return I wonder why we go anywhere else. I do love Lanta, but you have to fly there and then drive to the island. This place is not flying and a short boat ride away. It is also magical, the bay we stay on is so special. It is enclosed so we can let the kids run wild, it has great snorkeling and waves for beginner surfers. It is also easy to get a group to come here as they all feel the same way.
Koh Samed and Rebecca
What a super star! Rebecca Green flew in Friday afternoon after a 16 hour journey and picked us up in a taxi from the airport to continue for 4 more hours to the beach. Even braved a dodgy speed boat to get us to Koh Samed island through what I considered fairly huge waves. But we arrived and it was fabulous to wake up at the beach to start our long weekend.
