The basking in post holiday glow lasted till 8am Tuesday morning. Monday everyone was full of smiles and 'Happy New Year', by Tuesday it was full steam ahead. By Wednesday I was ready for a break and thankfully I was given one. The school put on new years drinks for the new teachers. It was at a nearby roof top bar and a lot of laughs were had. It was just the thing needed the first week back.
I am going to make more of an effort to engage with the staff this second term. There are some great people and I need to learn to slow down and spend sometime with some of them.
