Phi Phi and Khao Sok

Yesterday was definitely an action packed day, we were up at the crack of dawn and on our way to a boat tour of Phi Phi islands and then straight after we drove three hours to Khao Sok (the jungle).

This is a photo of the night before where we had a toast for Mum's 71st birthday.

We woke up to a beautiful morning and started on our journey to Phi Phi

The water really is just such an amazing colour and the lagoons around the islands are spectacular.

We also visited Maya Bay, the beach that was made so famous by the film the Beach.  I am so happy they have decided to close it for six months a year to try and help it recover from the 5000 tourists it sees a day.  It is such a beautiful place but the millions of people detracts from that beauty.

We also visited a much quieter island called Bamboo island.  It was a lovely quiet spot, perfect for a swim, snorkelling or nap.
We then went home to pick up Lola and start the next adventure to Khao Sok.  We arrived just in time for a delicious Thai meal.  The server was so friendly and think might have fallen in love a bit with Jen.
It is amazing how much you can pack into a day when you make an early start.  Based on this realisation, everyone is up early today and ready to start the next adventure.
