...orienteering and basic following of instructions are not some of my stronger points, which to be fair I did make clear when I volunteered to help on a school hike on Sunday morning (yep night after girls night out, you can imagine this helped). But luckily Liam heeded my warnings and put me on a team with Emily who actually knew that the pretty coloured lines on the map were not just for decoration and meant hills.
We had a great three hour hike, we lost all our kids, but Emily managed to find our way back (about half an hour after our team finished, but whatever).
