There is no doubt that this time of year keeps me sane and in my teaching career. I forget all the pressure of a few months ago as my timetables lightens with Year 13 gone and multiple Thai holidays are given to us. This is the first of two holiday weekends in a row. This first one I organised for five families to go to Koh Samet, an island not far from Bangkok. We all finished school on Friday and raced down to try and catch the fire show before putting the kids to bed. I was slightly nervous as no one else had ever stayed on this part of the small island and I know they felt pretty attached to their usual spots. But by the first morning I knew it was going to be great.
