Blue Jays Win

Today we all went to a Blue Jays game.  I was excited to take Sebastian to see it and a little nervous he would find it all a bit too much.  But he really got into it. He started to understand what was happening and ask a lot of questions. Well until Auntie Tracy bought him a slushy and the sugar rush took over!!  But he pulled it together and we were all thrilled when the Jays were victorious.  They are took of their division now.  The entire fab five came and some of the children. They have all grown so much.

I’m  It was a great day out.

Oh Canada

Friday night Sebastian and myself arrived to Mandy’s condo in Milton.  Sebastian was exhausted and went straight to sleep. Brad, Mandy and myself tried to put the world right over a bottle of wine. I am not sure we managed it.  Saturday we woke up to a beautiful hot and sunny day.  We went to the park and later Mandy had a BBQ for us. It was so lovely seeing most of the fabulous five and Mandy’s family.  Her family has known me since I was 5 years old and I love that Sebastian got to hear a bit about me as a child.  Not that he was interested though, Tracy bought him a present for all the birthdays and Christmas’s she’s missed, so he was pretty occupied.  Totally spoilt!! I am so happy to be here.

The End of Quito 2025

After two weeks we come to an end of our two week stop in Quito.  Well Luis will stay a few more days and Sebastian and myself are off to Toronto in the morning.  It is a crazy summer of travel, and I have to say  I do feel guilt about the amount of air travel.  Well until I look at the news and think what is the point of even caring, when leaders can just decide climate change is not a thing over night and undo years of people trying to make legislation to do better.  This summer, I have had too many mornings of diving into the news.  I think for the second half of the summer my goal will be not to read it at all.  There is so much wrong and it is so hard to watch feeling helpless. Anyways, that was my little side rant (sort of in a bad mood this afternoon!).

As usual, Luis's family has been amazing.  I think probably why I am in a bad mood!  They are just so kind and I feel like I fail at matching that kindness.  Sebastian will miss his time here, but luckily is also super excited to get to his homeland and see cousin Freda and the house with the river.  It has been two years and his memories are shaky on England.  We will first stop in Canada, which he really does not remember.  I hope we can make some great memories.

Catching up with some of Luis's friends.
Rainbows

Many games as usual

Lots of laughs, i will miss them all.

Juan Pablo's Graduation

I was so happy to be here for one of Luis's nephew's secondary school graduation.  I just love Juan Pablo, he is made of stuff that parents dream of.  Kind, clever, considerate, helpful, just such a nice person.  He graduated from the British School Quito with a scholarship to a University in Spain.  It was a special night.

I love this. A flag of flowers made of Ecuador flag and the Union Jack.

Sebastian’s Ecuador Birthday Celebrations

Sebastian is the luckiest summer baby ever.  He got a pre summer birthday with his buddies, an Ecuador birthday and next and lastly his real birthday in England.  Also, a birthday is a great reason for Luis to get all his family and friends together in one spot. Sebastian wanted a SpongeBob theme this time. Much to my dismay Sebastian loves SpongeBob. As requested he had a SpongeBob piñata  and cake.  I was so sad to see the piñata ruined this time, I came quit attached and felt he could be a member of our family. It was a lovely party and it was great to get the extended family together.
