Klong Nin Beach

This year in the taxi from the airport I wondered if it was worth the flight, taxi, ferry to get here. I thought maybe we should have just driven somewhere, largely as I felt awful but I did contemplate our decision.  But is is worth every minute getting here and then some.  Koh Lanta is just such a magical place.   The people, the beaches, the restaurants, the vibe, it’s just the best. And Klong Nin beach is just so exceptional.  I suppose it is why we have been back year after year, holiday after holiday.  This year friends have joined us for half of our trip and I was a little nervous they would not like it as much. But of course they love it, it is pretty hard not too.  The day before the New Year, I am excited to start a new year and reflective on the year that has past.  It was a good year, I am blessed.  This year I have some new goals and will write them all down next year :) Enjoy the last day of 2025 all and I hope you are all lucky enough to spend with some special people in your life. 

Ko Lanta Holiday

Boxing Day I was given the gift of food poisoning and three days later and I am still not right. Boxing Day was one of my hardest days, I almost went to hospital I felt so bad. We flew on the 27th and that wasn’t much easier.  It was painful. But we made it. It is now the 29th, and I have no energy but recovering. Food poisoning is just awful.   We are here with friends from school, our usual Koh Lanta Christmas Italian friends and Jacqui (for a couple days).  I am hopeful I shall be recovered by the New Year!

Christmas Day 2025

What a lovely day. Sebastian was so excited by his presents. He was so sweet and thankful for everything. I got some lovely gifts from Santa. I think he may have had some help from a certain elf staying with us.  We then started preparing for the 25 people coming for lunch, plus the ten more for games and drinks.  I had planned a huge games day, with a quiz and many Christmas competitions. I wish I had more picture as I was so good but I was busy hosting the events.  

Ecuadorian Christmas

Ecuadorian Christmas we did not do much but we did have a nice dinner, open one gift and managed a  cheeky drink out.  It has been a busy first few days of Christian’s and this elf is feeling tired!

Christmas Eve Eve

Christmas Eve Eve we were invited to Janelle's from her annual Eve Eve party.  They have a lovely new home, even if it is now across the city (thisis me grumpy as loved having them in the building).  It was a nice evening with some good friends and Christmas cheer.
