Robert's 50th at Race Night and Jodi and Dylan Arrive

Robert's 50th birthday was Friday night and as it was race night he had to work.  Therefore, we brought the party to him.  Not only did we bring his friends but we also had Jodi and Dylan fly in for the event!  Well maybe not just for the event, possibly for their anniversary but they still came.  It is great to have so many key players of the Ecuafamily.

Picked them up and headed straight to the beach.

The car is getting a little more full.

We made a sign and Rosette reserved us a spot.  There was some winning, a lot of losing but a good time was had to by all.

Finished the races and spent Jimmy's winnings at Blakeys!

Surfing Freights Bay

This activity I was a bit worried about, no one seemed overly excited.  But it was amazing.  Everyone was able to stand up, in fact I think everyone stood up every time.  We had a great instructor and saw dozens of sea turtles bobbing around us as we waited to catch a wave.  We then went to Oistin's for a huge meal.  Another great day in the books.

Blakeys Latin Night

After a lovely day at the beach we went to dinner with Kailee, Natalie and Vicki.  It was meant to be latin night but seemed more like an 80's night to me.  Sebastian ran races with everyone and stayed up way to late (making this morning delightful).

East Coast 2024 Trip

Tuesday we headed off an island tour and then a night at the East Coast.  It was quite the adventure with a stop in all the coasts.  We headed West first, then to Animal Flower Cave ending on the East Coast.  We stayed in an 'interesting' house down there.  I actually thought I would be in big trouble with everyone when we entered it.  Basically falling down and next door right in front of the veranda was a three person funeral.  It went on for hours and we felt badly to speak.  We then could not find somewhere to eat as the whole village was at the funeral.  Eventually we found a place that was pretty much open for the after funeral and we crashed it eating there.  Then the front door rusted oof the hinges and almost crushed Sebastian.  But it provided loads of laughs.  We had a posh breakfast at an EcoLodge and then headed quickly back to our favourite Tiki bar.

This was not the house! It is where we should have stayed, the beautiful EcoLodge.

Jessica and Jimmy

Great to be here and even better that Jessica and Jimmy came to see us! We haven’t seen them since the month before I found out I was having Sebastian.  They are now in DC and with a direct flight here, an easy trip.  Also gives me a reason to plan lots of things, not that I need a reason!!
