Yesterday we went to school to watch Zemi in his swim meet. What a wonderful morning it was. I hope it inspired Sebastian, as it was clearly so much fun for the students. The swim community seems very tight and apparently lacks a bit of the drama that some other sports have. We went to the gymnastics area in between races and the kids had the best time.
Sebastian had a new boy join his class and he said he was from Barbados. I thought he was just confused as I checked our system and he was at our school on a South African passport. However, I spoke to his Mum yesterday and her husband is from St. Vincent and his Mum is from Barbados and they live there 4 years (most of her sons life). And then Nadia came over and they had both worked for UN Women in Barbados (at separate years) but their boss was very good friends of both of them. Small world!
