Tuesday, Jace came over again, and he and Sebastian had a sleepover. It was Sebastian's first non-family sleepover. There were one or two touchy moments in the 24 hours, but overall they had the best time. Sebastian was very excited to have him. We went to Tikki Bar in the day, then Carib and ended at Mimosa for dinner.
Monday, we got up early and headed down to board Cool Runnings. It was pouring rain, and it did not look promising. But the weather cleared, and we had an amazing day. We snorkelled, swam, ate, and Sebastian even brought his new best buddy. We all had a great time!
Sebastian's birthday is also a great way to bring together loads of family and friends in both Ecuador and Barbados. As it can be a bit rainy, I decided to move it from the beach to Craig's house and rent a slide. But Vicki said we could have it at Brighton Beach, so, luckily, Sebastian got a slide, a pool, the beach, and the most amazingly sunny day. I scoured Barbados for small kids and ended up getting four, which was fabulous. He also made a new best buddy, so I am hoping we can see him loads in the next two weeks. It was a great party with great people. Sebastian is one lucky boy.
Saturday, Jimmy and Jessica flew in for their second visit to Barbados. They flew into a very rainy island, and they were a little concerned (the forecast said rain every day), but I explained it is never correct, or there might be some rain but not all day. The skies cleared up as I predicted, and we enjoyed a first night catching up with them at Tikey Bar and then Blakeys.
On Friday, we had a beautiful, sunny day at a place I had never been before. I have been to the beach many times, but not this actual beach club. They, like the Boat Yard, have fun climbing things for kids and I also think a better price with loads of great options for lunch. We chose there as Luis had gone diving and was coming back to that beach. I had the best vegetarian taco ever and a very enjoyable day with the family.
It might seem like he was 7 ages ago as he luckily has so many birthday parties. But today was the actual day. He did not want to know when his birthday was, he wanted it to be a surprise. We decorated. at night and sprung it on to him in the morning. I cannot believe he is 7. How times flies! He makes me laugh every day and I love seeing him grow and change. He loves football, his friends, his family and we all love him so much. For this actual birthday we had a small celebration as the big party was coming up, again he want this to be a surprise.
