What has become abundantly clear, is that we all needed a rest. I know teachers get a lot of holidays (13-14 weeks), but I can assure you that those other weeks are hard. Teaching the same thing over and over is hard, parents expectations seem to be forever growing and well teenaged are wonderful but complex. Since being on holiday we have been asleep by 9pm, slept longer, rested and napped. Things I never do. Today we had a late start, 8am, and headed to the most wonderful breakfast. We then spent the day at the pool, on bikes, religious ceremonies and at the beach. We have just finished with a birthday celebration from the hotel. All ready for bed, me a little sun burnt and all else tired.
