We are celebrating the holidays in Phuket, and we decided to drive the 12 hours down rather than flying. We are doing it over four nights our first stop was Hua Hin, one of the closest beach resorts outside of Bangkok. Our first impression was freezing! The wind was so cold off the sea it is the coldest I have ever felt in Thailand (the temperature was 25 degrees but then wind was cold). We spent two nights here, and I would not hurry back but we had a good time. The best part of the place we stayed is we had loads of monkeys. Although one day they did steal Sebastian's lunch and he does not like sharing monkey or no monkey.
