Amazing! Sean Paul concert 15 minute walk from our flat and a small great venue. I went with about 10 ladies from school and danced the entire time. It was fabulous!
All about our past adventures in and around Basel, Switzerland; Quito, Ecuador; Phuket Thailand; Grand Bahama, The Bahamas; and now back in Thailand. Featuring Amanda, Luis, Sebastian and of course Lola

Not Gold....But Silver
We signed up to get back the gold that was stolen for us in March. We did not get gold but silver, I suppose not too bad! It was a hard run for me. Much harder than last weekend. I think it is hard to wait 3 hours from the time we got there (as I am last), it was also very hot by the time I started. But my time was not awful and certainly was not the difference between gold or silver, so I was happy.
41st Birthday (not mine)
Friday was not the birthday he intended. A beach with his buddies, but I tried hard to make it a close second. A kids party and then some friends over after.

Last Day of 40 Dinner
Last night I hosted a dinner for those unable to come to the pool party today. We did our usual Mexican spread. With a busy week it is something I can whip up quickly. Sebastian was so concerned about all the tables and house being perfect. It is funny, he is so neat and tidy and hates a mess. He definitely did not get that from his parents. It was a great dinner to send off 40. I am now finishing a long parents day to rush home for the main event!
Birth Week
When I met Luis he celebrated the entire month of October, he has since then narrowed it down to birth week. He had a whole week planned with two of his best friends from Ecuador. A few days to the old capital and then they were jetting off to the beach. But sadly his friends did not make the flight. After a few days of feeling slightly down due to the changes he started to feel positive of the new plans with Bangkok family and friends. I kicked off the celebrations with a roof top date night on Wednesday.

A Third Place and Trophy
Sunday morning I went to run a 10.5km mini marathon (popular here in Thailand, they just seem to add on a 0.5km and call it a mini marathon). It was painful, especially that last 0.5km, where I had to dig very deep. When I finished I told Lyndsey I could not wait for her first place trophy ceremony as needed to get back. I usually take the photos and hold all her prizes. She truly is amazing. But before I left I thought I would just look at the results, as you cannot really tell where you place with the 1000 people all starting at once, and then the 5km racers joining us mid way through. And I came third in my age category! I was so shocked, it was a big event. Therefore, I had to stay also to get my trophy and prizes on stage. Although I have no photos of the ceremony!
I was so happy!
