Cafe Sol and the Coziers

I have to remember I have a phone again, losing my annoying take a million photos touch! Having had a great dinner out with Vicki, Hottie, Nic and Luke I only remembered the photos once home. To dinner at one of my favourite spots, Cafe Sol, I took no photos. The place has not changed, great food once you actually get what you order and as slow as I always remember. But would not have it any other way.

I remembered only as they drove me home, so these are the photos of the night!

Relaxing in BIM

After a non-stop two week Canadian holiday I arrived here exhausted. I have spent three days sleeping, reading and looking at my Spanish books (I plan to open them soon). I have also had the great pleasure of watching my God Daughter's jazz show and horse riding today. Like I always say, she takes after me a bit with all this talent.

Tomorrow I intend to break out and possibly see some friends and celebrate being here!

Summer Vacation Part 2

It was a beautiful day in Toronto yesterday, so clearly a day that I spent flying. I had such a wonderful time, seeing my wonderful father and friends, showing Luis some very special places in Southern Ontario and of course getting engaged!
Thank you ladies for everything you did for us this trip, love you all and will see you next summer at my wedding!!!
I arrived in Barbados last night, greeted with beautiful cards and family. Now the planning begins!

Love them!

Happy 148th Canada

Happy Birthday Canada! I cannot remember the last time I was here for Canada Day, possibly 17 years.  To celebrate we went to a fair in Guelph and then firework display in Acton.  The fair was really nice, probably better with a beer tent but there you go.

Now we are running around as it is our last day here and we have loads to do.  Tomorrow Luis is back to Quito to tell Lola and I am off to Barbados to plan!

My Answer Was Yes

(this is a delayed blog as I had to tell family and close friends before posting it!)

Think this picture says it all!
Well I thought it said it all, but a few hours after posting I have decided the moment deserves more words!  After our brilliant day on the beach, Luis took my father a side and asked for my hand (well he is Latin) and as I had a mouth full of veggie sausage and beans later that night broke into his speech.  It was all very lovely, and we did not even notice my father capturing the moment.  So it looks like sometime in the near future  may have to add a name to my blog!

Point Farms, Goderich

We were fairly lucky, in between two fairly miserable days was a lovely day and that is when we were due to go camping.  The beautiful two hour drive took a little longer about four hours mainly as I am unable to be the main driver (head driver is a bit of a slow driver as he is middle aged at 74 and Luis new to the country).  But we made it and had camp all set by lunch time, new tents are so much easier than they use to be.  The camping spot, Point Farms Goderich, a place I spent many summer vacations camping at.  Everything was how I remembered it, except the beach had a bit more people.  We probably had our best vacation day and night here, in fact it is definitely one none of us will forget.
I remember these naps even 25 years ago...
 A stroll
 A rest
Some beach tennis, we were all amazing

Mini golf exactly as I remember, Dad won, I cannot believe he beat me!

Getting the fire ready, we cooked all our dinner here, it took about two hours to boil potatoes, so bit of a late dinner. Still a great spot, really had a lovely time.

Rainy Party Fun

Well the weather did not totally accommodate our party but compared to yesterday it was a spectacular day (I have not seen a 'summer' day like it before, gale force ran and wind).  However, the clouds and small showers did not seem to bother anyone really except me, the kiddies had a great time outside and the adults inside.  I saw so many people I have not seen in ages and one special surprise guest.
Uncle Richard and my cousins David and Jennifer
 Pass the parcel

The treasure hunt, how my parties have changed!

Aunty Jillian, surprised Aunty Janice and in turn surprised me, I was so shocked and so happy she met Luis!

Best surprise game ever, how many Cheetos can you stick to Daddy's face covered in whip cream...
 Or a borrowed Daddy..

My girls, who I see way to little of but our still beautiful and I love them dearly.  A lovey day with so many special people.
