I have never been so hot, and I love the heat. Thailand has extreme weather warnings in place and I feel lucky to be at the beach rather than our concrete jungle. It is difficult to be outdoors too much during the day and without a pool or beach forget it. As the beach is still slightly traumatic we had a day of pool, ice cream and then night time walks. We also switched places to be closer to our friends and their pool if only for one night before changing again.
All about our past adventures in and around Basel, Switzerland; Quito, Ecuador; Phuket Thailand; Grand Bahama, The Bahamas; and now back in Thailand. Featuring Amanda, Luis, Sebastian and of course Lola

Jelly Fish Stings
Willa! Willa! Willa!
We are staying South the first part of our trip and our friends North. Sebastian woke up Sunday morning and his first words were ‘Willa!Willa! Willa!’ we had arranged to see them that evening and I thought it would be a very long day with lots of begging for Willa. But actually we had a brilliant afternoon swimming and he was extra excited when they finally arrived.
Lanta- My Happy Place
I should probably say one of my happy places, as I have a few. But I do love Koh Lanta, the minute I arrive I feel calm and happy. We have 8 days here and even better this time we have some friends here with us. Saturday we arrived to our favourite southern bay, no one there. Our beach bungalow (10 pound a night) is basic, but with a sea view, our spot from our many times here.
And breathe.

Songkran 2024 at School
We are winding down not to the Songkran holiday. Actually more like running here with parents conferences, reports and IB observations. But with the beach very close in sight, I can do it! We have now started the festival off with a Songkran celebration at school. On a side note, I think Sebastian is so confused as this is his third time celebrating the New Year this year (Jan 1st, Chinese New year and now Thai Year)!

Easter Sunday
I am not going to lie 5:30am came around pretty fast. Luckily, I remembered at 2am to put out the eggs. However, I definitely was in no shape to remember to take photos of the actual hunt. But luckily I had a second chance as later in the morning there was a building hunt. After breakfast at the pool, we had a quick turn around before taking him and his friends to a Paw Patrol Easter lunch. In actual fact there was very little Paw Patrol, no Easter but still lots of crafts and fun.
My two Easter hunt photos.
I am not entirely sure how I made it through this day. But I did!
