Day/Night Tour in Bangkok

Bridget and Jamie were quite keen to see what we like about Bangkok.  As I try very hard not to leave my 1/2km radius it was pretty easy to see all our hots spots.  We started Saturday at the nearby mall, not my favourite spot they needed some stuff.  We then headed don our canal to the Jim Thompson House.  Again, not my favourite spot but I had heard it as a nice place to walk around and eat.  He is famous for the silk trade and then going missing.  I found this bi annoying as really hate an unfinished story.  The lunch there as meant to be 'interesting' and 'posh' but I found the plates small and expensive.  At this point I felt I as letting them down.  But luckily are night time spots were all great.  Our Thai meal at a local restaurant as amazing.  Then we did a little bar hopping and it was just the perfect night.

Lovely to get to know Jamie and Bridget.

Bridget and Jamie

This weekend we are super happy to have Bridget and Jamie come and stay with us.  Bridget is my God Mother's grand daughter, so that means she had to be pretty fabulous and Jamie is her husband.  It was actually pretty lucky that it was this weekend they were coming through Bangkok as it really was the only one I was here for about 8 weekends.  They arrived shortly after work on Friday, a bit tired after a long bus ride from Cambodia, but we enjoyed a lovely Italian before having an early night.

Don't be fooled by the kids plate, Sebastian had a full adult portion and ate every bite.

Saturday morning I had a little bit of home delivered to them.

Ms. Amanda Poem

Today, one of my students shared a poem with me that he had written for English class.  I am no expert but I would say he has written a master piece.

It made my day :)

Last Day of the Events

I finished the weekend with some games in the mornings followed by the final big event, the pool relay.  Everyone was pretty tired by the end but again another great day.  I have some more ideas for next year, but altogether was super happy with it.  I wish I had photos of the awards, but was too busy and well no one else takes photos like I do!

These sort of events just fill my heart.  I need a new career!

Clean Air Olympics

I could not have imagined the events going better, or the main day.  I was so nervous trying to ensure the perfect weekend.  Some forced fun, but not too much.  Having the kids engaged and running around as much as possible.   Having some winners without too many tears (of course all got an award, just some got extra).  And ensuring all the food throughout the day came out and everyone was happy with it.  It all went so well.  They Olympic games were great, everyone participated.  I made four sets of team hats last week and everyone happily wore them.  And most importantly the children had a blast.  I might have wrecked all future holidays for Sebastian as now he wants the same crew every time.

A perfect day with no pollution!

Clean(er) Weekend 2024 Day 1

The last few weeks I have been planning, the Clean(er) Air Weekend 2024 for 32 people.  I love doing this stuff and have been so excited.  Last night we arrived at LaLaMuhka in Khao Yai Glamping for a forced fun weekend!  I created four teams, let the games begin!

Fun disco drive there

Love it here! We can see stars!
