Khao Sans Road and Spiderman

We had a great day out today.  We started off with breakfast at a coffee shop Sebastian likes and then headed to Khao Sans Road.  Khao Sans road is the land of backpackers and I love it.  We went there for a little shopping but I also love just sitting in a restaurant and watching the world go by.

The food is also half the price and delicious.  We had the second best Thai curry I have had since being in Bangkok, the first was also here.
We went home for a quick change and then to watch Spiderman.  Sebastian watched about two minutes and then played on the slide and the balls.  This suits us fine, as he has really gone off super heroes but the odd time likes to pretend he has not.

Tony's Soi 11 Dinners

Tony's is a restaurant a few minutes walk away.  I like it for the never ending happy hour, Italian food and kind staff.  This week I found myself there twice.  Wednesday with a Year 10 team meet up and Friday for a catch up with Asit and Charu.

My year 10 team, a great bunch.

Our Bangkok family.  We are all winding down now for the end of our first academic year and ready to head off to holidays.

Sebastian's First Cookies

Sebastian and myself baked some cookies from scratch yesterday evening.  His dream, chocolate and sprinkles cookies.  My dream, sugar and dairy free cookies.  We had to combine the dreams, it was dairy free and almost sugar free (the sprinkles must have had some).

There is definitely room for improvement but the first attempt he was pretty happy with.  Next we are planning a rainbow (sugarless) cake!

Sunny Phuket and Nai Harn Beach

I cannot believe how lucky we were with the weather.  There had been weeks of solid rain before we arrived. And then it was glorious our stay, the minute we got on the plane the rain fell again.  I am just hoping we have not used up all our sunshine luck before arriving in the UK!

These two.. Exactly a year apart, same hospital, we will miss having so close.

This lady is a force.  She will be moving to Taiwan with her two children all on her own this summer.  It will be a great change for them all, and the new school is lucky to have her.

Beautiful Nai Harn, we did not get her too much when we lived there being an hour South.  It is a beautiful spot and it was great to spend the day there.
All tuckered out, the kids finished the weekend off with a movie night.  We had a lovely weekend, and now counting down the days until we are off again!

Phuket and Jacqui's Farewell

Friday night we flew to Phuket o stay with Jacqui and some other families in a villa down south.  Jacqui, Quinlan and Fiadh are moving to Taipei next academic year.  We will be so sad not to have them as close but I am looking forward to new place to go.

We are down in Rawai. Apparently it has rained solidly here for three weeks so feeling lucky as we have had all sunshine so far!

This is what I miss most about Bnagkok.  Grass and tress.

Andrew from my old Maths department at BISP.

Kids dance party.  So fun.
Going to miss this lady!

I love all the kids in the house having such a great time together.  I love me a long weekend.

day Department Pub Quiz The Deck

Thursday night I organised the department farewell to the leavers dinner and quiz night.  We went to a place I have wanted to go for ages.  I love a quiz, I am terrible at them but still love going.  E had to divide into two teams not to get minus points.  Sadly I ended up on the wrong team!  We lost to our colleagues by one point.

Luis is not a biggest fan of quizzes, mainly as they are so English centered.  This one had a whole wrong on Spanish!  And questions about Ecuador, he missed his time to shine.
Afterwards me and Lucy stopped for a cheeky bubbles on the way home.
