Vertical Series Marathon Bangkok Number 1

Over the next 6 weeks the Fraser Group is hosting a three series stair challenge across three buildings in Bangkok.  Saturday was the first one.  It was well organised and even had the World Champion fly in from Singapore to participate. The only small criticism I might have is the way they set up the waves (they let people go in intervals the stairs do not get jammed).  Every 30 seconds they let another 7-10 go and usually they ask people who will be fast to go to the front, male or female and then set up in age groups.  But this one they put all the men first.  The women went behind the 60 plus year old men.  It was slightly insulting.  But us women showed them, the overall winner was first the Male world champion closely followed by my friend Lyndsey.  I came first women 35 to 49 and I think 30 out of 400 beating a lot of men as did many other women. 1000 stairs in 7 minutes :)

I was so happy and proud of myself.  But also so sad.  I just so wanted to tell my parents, especially my father who I believe would have been super excited.
