For the last couple of years a couple that work at our school come to talk to the staff about ehri daughter who died of brain cancer when she was 12. In fact they started the same year I did and they had only recently lost her. They have started an annual fundraiser to support families in Thailand who have children with cancer. When they are talking I am pretty much sobbing, I just cannot imagine how painful that must have been and still is. It is so heart breaking. They made such a great event and it was great to see everyone at school wearing yellow and raising money for the cause.
I love when communities come together to support one another.
