Hurricane Beryl

After Sebastian’s birthday party we headed home to prepare for the hurricane.  We knew at this point it had turned a bit south but these things don’t leave a map plan a head of schedule. The EcuaFam all moved in just in case and were very helpful in getting things ready. We certainly used Dylan’s carpentry skills around the house.  The next morning we woke up to blustery winds but very little rain. On first inspection it seemed Barbados didn’t get much. But after things started working and moving again we realised that there was quite a bit of damage around the island. The fishing industry taking the brunt of it.  It could have been far worse and although everyone breathed a sigh of relief all attention was now on the other islands in the path of Beryl.  Poor Grenada and St. Vincent were devastated and it looks as though the devastation won’t end there as Beryl heads for Jamaica.
