Although I have loved being out of the city three weekends in a row, Sebastian has missed all his friends in the building. Therefore, I made this a real Sebastian weekend. Football, class party, dinner party, Paw Patrol movie with friends, ice cream, and we were both exhausted for it!
Last night was October Wine night. Two new members, never to have attended before bravely hosted. They had a Halloween theme and quite a few new faces. It is super nice to have this night to look forward too.
We had one more almost full day in Sukhothai and we spent it doing our favourite thing, you guessed it, cycling. We even found Sebastian a bike he could rent. They are not big on renting helmets so we stayed within the park. Very flat and no cars. There were still a few more temples to check out. We did that and then went back to our guest house for a few hours in the pool. Luis planned a fantastic weekend. I had never even heard of the place, and was so pleasantly surprised about how much lovely out door stuff it had to offer. It was a lovely relaxing family weekend.
There is no doubt we have been lucky with the weather. The sunshine just makes everything that more beautiful and combined with the greenery from a heavy rainy season is just amazing. Day three was another day full of adventures. We rented our own bikes in the morning and cycled to unexplored territory. That evening we drove an hour up a mountain to see the bats come out at dusk. We were told it happens about 18:30 but to get there for 18:00. We were early at 17:30, which was lucky as they came out a minute later. We were the only ones there and it was quite something to watch and listen too. We stayed for half an hour, so thankful we got there early and on the way down passed all the cars coming up for the event...
