My favourite place in Thailand is a little island off Phuket called Koh Yao Noi. It is so dramatically different than Phuket and really what you dream of when you think paradise. It is so calm, beautiful and a crazy close proximity to chaos on Phuket. We decided to have a one night mini break with Jacqui and her family. As always, it did not disappoint with its dramatic views and calm vibe. Unfortunately, Sebastian was quite ill for the duration. He tried to play fine for a day but then it all became clear at night how unwell he is.
All about our past adventures in and around Basel, Switzerland; Quito, Ecuador; Phuket Thailand; Grand Bahama, The Bahamas; and now back in Thailand. Featuring Amanda, Luis, Sebastian and of course Lola

Blue Tree Fun
I love this place. We spent so much time here when Sebastian was a baby and it is just the perfect way to spend the day. No sand, well a little sand but lots to do. Shade when you need it, food and just a little easier than the beach. It helps Sebastian loves it and he has a few solid hours playing. I imagine we will spend a few ore days here this holiday.

Boxing Day 2022
I would love to say we spent a relaxing day at the beach but it was anything but at least the first hour or so. We left too late and Sebastian was that great combination of hungry and tired. Lola was very excited to be at the beach again but was a bit all over the place. And the grown ups, equally as grumpy. After some food and Sebastian a beach nap all moods improved and the day was saved!

Christmas Day 2022
What a day! Obviously it started crazy early as Sebastian was chomping at the bit to see the tree. He was so excited and loved all his gifts. Mummy and Daddy did not do badly either so it is good we all remained on the good list (it was touch and go at times for sure). We had a lovely morning and then joined Iwisyi and her 24 closest friends and family members for brunch. After that we popped over to Jacqui's to say Happy Christmas. It was a good day. Christmas always tugs at the heart strings. Missing people far away and people no longer with us. So I was thankful to spend it with so many people I love here.

Christmas Eve
I have never subscribed to the Christmas is for kids theory of thought and I still do not. However, when you are ancient and far away from any of your homes I would say children's excitement is contagious (and probably when you are not ancient and close to home as well). Sebastian has been excited for months but Christmas Eve brought it to a new level.
