Thankful for Bahamian Family

It has not been the easiest year to move to a new country and a new school.  But 8 months on and we are feeling so lucky for the friends that we have made and have quickly become our family here.

Saturday Simon and Alison had us over for dinner.  A treat as always.

They very kindle and generously had these made for us.  These beautiful pictures they framed and our now hanging proudly on our wall.  She also showed us the second set of curtains she is completing for Sebastian's bedroom and I have not even mentioned the gifts they showered him with for Easter.  Above and beyond that they are just two of the kindest people we have come across.

That brings me to yesterday where our other Bahamian family (Sinead, Peter, Emmi and Ewan) spoilt us rotten with a surprise gift basket filled with far too many treats.  Wine, muffins, crackers, beer, diet coke and a gift card for a very nice restaurant.  For no reason but to say they are happy to have us in their lives.  It was timed super well, as I was having a  very down day yesterday.  Feeling so lucky to have these people in my life.
