We arrived in Yangon yesterday for the start of our Myanmar adventure. It seems like this trip would never arrive and that even we would not be able to go (my recent illness) and we are so excited to be here. Yangon is a huge city and we only explored a bit of it. But we got a small taste, seeing the main temple (2500 years old), eating some delicious food, having a cold Myanmar beer and meeting the people. The people are lovely, happy and helpful. Luis is very happy and impressed with the food and I just cannot get over the beauty of the places we have seen in less than twenty -four hours.
Our hostel, which is defo not like the bargains I usually find. Definitely cheap though!
Downtown Yangon
This was a hole in the wall Indian. Cheap as chips and by far the best one I have ever eaten at. It was properly amazing!
Then relaxing in a beautiful park.
We have now arrived in Bagan and what we have seen in about one hour is amazing. I cannot wait to see it all.
