Well I guess it is not a good idea to count your chickens before they hatch, but I have checked in on Australia and they seem to have made it to December 22nd and everything on the island appears normal. So I am thinking possibly the Mayans (or Mayan interpreters) got it wrong. Either way, I am pretty happy to be able to complete my holiday and a few other things I wanted to do this lifetime.
