Asit and Charu Indian Deliciousness

Last night we were treated to some of the best Indian food I have had in ages, well actually maybe ever.  What a difference it makes to have home cooked food.  Sebastian was, as always, spoilt rotten.  Charu made food with him and Cole (their neighbours son) and they even started a cleaning company.

The cleaners in action.
Even Lola had the most magical of nights.

My Little Scientist

Sebastian loves doing Science.  He often comes home from school super excited talking about Science.  he loves doing experiments and all tv shows about Science.  In fact, we may have to stop putting him in every after school sport (currently tennis, basketball and football) and sign up for the Science club.  But until the next session starts he will have to come to Mummy's after school Science club.

To be honest Mummy has some pretty cool things up her sleeve!

Sunday Lumpini Park

Sunday was a beautiful day and we headed down to one of Bangkok's most lovely green spaces, Lumpini park.  Here we played, watched the monitor lizards and basked in the nice weather.

These lizards are amazing.  They camouflage perfectly, look a little out of the dinosaur age, run with speed and some are massive.  I would like to add that Luis was too scared to get any closer than this.  I braved it for a scale photo.  Nice to be out and about while the air is still clean(ish).

Mexican Independence Gala and Surprise Visitor

Saturday evening we planned a night at a Mexican Independence Day Gala with the old LIS teachers.  Lucaya International School has a very small teaching staff, like 25 teachers (here we have over 200) and 6 of us have ended up in Bangkok and 5 teaching at NIST.  So we decided we all needed a night out together.  It was so great to go out dancing! I loved it :). And then just as we were leaving Luke Curtis wrote me.  He brought his girlfriend on a surprise night in Bangkok and the show they went to see ended early.   It was a great surprise and we met them out for a hello (it was less of a great surprise this morning, Sebastian was up as early as ever and ready for play!).

A fun night!

VISA Morning

This Saturday morning, looking a little bit rough, we had to go to school for our VISA extensions.  Immigration comes and sets up and makes it a lot easier than what would usually be a full day at the immigration department.  It all went smoothly and on the way back we stopped at a restaurant for breakfast that Sebastian always wants to go too.  He loved it and made me take a million photos.  Here are just a few of the cutest!

The big bear was the best, well and sitting on the floor.  He just thought the best place ever.  We will be back!

Maths Department Quiz Night at Casa Lunchanda

Finally the night arrived!! I spent weeks writing and rewriting pub quiz questions. I wanted to ensure all nationalities attended were represented and no one felt left out.  Let me tell you, this is not easy!  You also have to make sure it is not too easy or too hard.  No one likes to feel stupid but too easy is boring.  And then you got come up with good interesting rounds.  AND then I had to think about the meal to cook and all the decorations to make.  100 hundred percent worth it!  What a success and just what the department needed, some bonding time.  The food was the best Mexican we have done for years, all the hard core meat eaters were so impressed all veggie, and the tables were perfect.

Hands down the best parts were 1) my Facebook round, I went back ten years and found funny updates people had made, you had to match the person to the quote 2) Sebastian as quiz master helper, he was so funny and 3) The yellow and red cards I had to give out for people not following the rules.

I was so happy with it!  Well until the next morning when I saw the state of the flat!!
