Freezing but Beautiful

It is properly cold.  In our house, we our all freezing as just not ready for it and no heating.  Out during the day in the sun it is okay, but the minute you step inside it is cold.  This is apparently another cold spell and by the weekend we should be back on the beach (in swim suits).  My worry is there seem to be far too many cold fronts and we are certainly not prepared!

Sebastian and Lola bonding even more :)

I cannot say our beach is not beautiful though.  And the water looks so inviting.  But there is no way I am going in until April at the minimum.

Sunday Beach for Abuela

The weather has just been super this weekend.  It has changed back this morning to cold, but if it is nice and sunny on the weekend I am happy.  Abuela loved sitting on the beach with Sebastian.  We had Alison, Simon, and Bruce over for a social distanced beach day.  Alison will be with Abuela and Sebastian during the day so it was good for them to meet beforehand.  It was a great success and I am sure they will have a lovely couple of weeks together.

Abuela brought this outfit and Sebastian just loves tigers.  He would not put it on until I explained he would be a tiger and then he would not take it off.  He practiced his roar all the way downstairs.  Too cute!

Abuela Arrives

Friday was a very exciting day as it was the day Abuela finally met Sebastian!  Everyone was super happy, especially Sebastian who now has another person in the house to show off to.  Friday evening she unpacked and got settled in.  On Saturday we were out the door for our first adventure.  We went to garden of the groves, again we had the place to ourselves and Sebastian was busy playing tour guide.

Day one was a success!  The weather was nice and warm again and Abuela had a great time with Sebastian.

Garden of the Groves

I was very excited to have an hour this morning to take Sebastian to a garden that has recently reopened.   Sebastian and Alison have been a few times and he was excited to show it off to me. It needs some love and attention but he loves it.

He ran in straight to the butterflys
He could not wait to show me all the types
But we could not stay long was there was much more to show me.

Like this slide.  He was super excited to show me how he goes down.
He went down a few times and then was off running to look for the ducks

He had to stop for a two minute lie down as there was still more to explore.
Hurry up Mum!

Not really sure what this is, but it looked like a fund place to run.
Love you buddy and thank you for showing me your favourite spot.

Keeping the House Clean

Tomorrow is a big day, Luis's Mum arrives for six weeks.  Luis has not seen her for over two years and Sebastian has not met her so it is super exciting.  We have been busy getting the house ready, painted, clean, and organised.  In an attempt to keep it this way we headed out for a family meal last night after all the final touches were complete.

Hair all cut and ready for Mum

Sebastian ate his whole meal with a restaurant spoon in the restaurant cup.  No prizes for guessing where the cup ended up (smashed on the floor).  But he did super well until the very last second when we had our eyes away for a moment.
Christmas tree up and the lights outside up.  I have also almost finished his room, it still needs a few more touch-ups, and then it will have a post on its own.

December 1st

And I cannot remember the last time I have been so cold!  How it went from beautiful hot and sunny on Sunday to 19 degrees (in the day), I have no idea, but I am not used to it and feeling the cold!  Apparently, it will last a week and then go away but in my mind, from December it is a slippery slope temperature-wise.  Either way, I made no friends today as I complained to anyone that would listen.  Apparently, most people love it.  Crazy.

Yesterday before freezing time.

This morning Sebastian presented us with this gift.

With some help from Alison, he created this fantastic advent calendar.
December 1st and the first picture.  Alison is properly amazing.  She came with this and Christmas masks this morning.
Me and my new mask, shivering and waiting for a coffee.  Bring back the heat!
