More Beautiful Beaches

Another day, another beautiful beach.

Started the day at this great seaside restaurant bar on the secret beach and then moved down South to the full moon party beach.
I don't know how I did not take more pictures of this party beach (not during day judging by emptiness), it was spectacular.  It totally reminded me of Barbados and the water was fabulous.
Another stunning sunset.
Meanwhile back in Phuket Lola is having a wonderful time with the pet sitters.  I think she loves when we go away and she gets spoilt rotten.  Lucky lady.

Oh Thailand!

Every new place I go I am taken aback of just how beautiful Thailand is.  I am always surprised to see the next place be more stunning than the last.  This island is amazing.  What a day we had exploring some of the near by beaches and eating at some of the best restaurants that I have probably ever eaten in.

I can't express how breathe taking the secret beach is.  It is just the next bay over and sure I will have many more pictures tomorrow.

We travelled up North of the island, just every where we looked and stopped was jaw dropping and empty.
Finishing at Karma Kafe, best flavours ever.  Just amazing food.

Koh Phangan

I have been so excited to come to this island, I have heard so many wonderful things about it.  An island traditionally known for its crazy full moon parties and in recent years developing a vega/yoga paradise island reputation.  Two completely different sides of the island.  I am not sure we will see the party side but are loving the veggie side.  It is super beautiful, we love the food and the vibe of the place.  Today we spent the day eating swimming in pretty much bath water (it was crazy warm, we thought about trying to poach an egg in it), and lazing around our place.
 Morning beach walk to breakfast
 Healthy huge breakie

 Our place, super cute.

Resident dog joining us for a swim.
I have never ever felt such warm sea water.
Sunset, loving the outfit!

Hopkins is Happiness

It has been such a busy few days with the Hopkins arriving, then the pet sitters and getting ready for our Koh Phangan adventure.   It is great to have them here again, they are just such positive happy people and it is totally contagious.
 Dinner with the house sitters.

 Team t-shirts
 Bye bye Lola

 Waiting for the ferry.

We have arrived in the gulf of Thailand to the famous full moon party island (but also known for beging veggie and yoga, which is why we are here!).

Sunday Breakfast

My favourite Sunday spot use to be a place down South for brunch, but it is a bit far and well the mid day start just eats up your whole day.  I am now all about Sunday breakfast, we started at 9am and by 1pm we had a lovely meal and day at the beach, not to mention this place is just down the road from us.   Leaving the rest of the day for us to get ready for the Hopkins arrival (all we do is seem to clean and the house just gets so messy again, I thought I finished it all yesterday and then today nope messy again).
We woke up to another beautiful day after a fairly stormy night.  You can definitely feel that the seasons are about to change, it is just so super hot and muggy, this just can't last for long.  Luckily the Brits are well accustomed to mid thirty but feels like mid forty temperatures so the Hopkins will be just fine ;)!

(don't worry peeps that glass in my hand is just for show!)
 Not a bad view

 Luis practising.

I was so shocked to see this and at first I could not think of why green grass seemed so unusual but now I realise it is because there is no greenery now due to the major water shortage.  A bit naughty really then to be watering this grass to keep it looking lovely for the visitors.

Sonkran Holipops

Finally, end of term two!! Term time usually goes by slowly but I think there is something about being pregnant that makes the time crawl by.  Either way i am happy to be on holidays and looking forward to tomorrow when the Hopkins arrive.

Some nice end of term messages, that I have to preserve somewhere so that I can read them the days I feel like I am just banging my head against a wall.
My Friday holiday treat, not the white wine that I am use to or really wanted but still yummy.
Luis finished this morning for the holidays as well, so I made some pretty healthy breakfast smoothie bowls.

And well, where else where would you want to spend your first afternoon of the break!

Our Saturday night adventure.  How things have changed...

Bye Bye Year 13

Another Year 13 done and dusted.  Yesterday was my last class with the seniors before they go off on study leave for their finals.  I must say I do get kinda attached to the kids, especially at this age and am always sad to see them go.  I am still in touch with quite a few through out the world from previous years and can imagine I will hear from a couple of these ones now and then.  We had a little celebration with some cake (that I did not make, but ordered so same same) and some dancing.

Only one or two faces missing, I have had a great time with this lot and will miss all the laughs we had in class.
One of the students gave me my first baby gift.  Now I just have to figure out what everything in the package is for!
It was a brilliant cake, the Maths on the note that they put on was actually complicated and correct!
