NIST Family Fun Day was a largely anticipated event in our family. One price gave you access to all these amazing rides, games and food. It meant it was in theory easier for the children to get prizes and just made it more enjoyable. No money (except for the raffle that I ended spending loads) had to be spent besides the entry fee. It was all going well until Sebastian and Willa waited patiently for 65 minutes for the ever popular human claw. All the children (well almost all as it turned out) walked away with a prize. Some more than others as all the older children cheated by taking the large gloves off. But not Sebastian he is a rule follower. Also, he did not have to cheat as he managed to get one of the star prizes. Well that is until the man knocked it off at the end and then would not give him the prize. Even though he sobbed and sobbed. It was so cruel. Bruce even went back to offer money for the prize. Money for a prize that had already been paid for by the PTA. I have never come so close to decking someone! But as it was Family Fun day I controlled the rage! But it did mar the event for all of us.
