What a first week back! To make a long story short, Luis had some complications, getting him to emergency twice in one week. After a few stressful days, a night in ICU and a small heart investigation/procedure we are now planning the healthy life of the Endara/Garwoods! Signing up for some more racing, adding some more veg and porridge to the diet and trading the evening wine for a walk in the park. Luis is much better and the doctors are helping him to live until 100! Last night we did have a family meal with Janelle and family upstairs. And the highlight of the week was Sebastian giving me a late Valentine's card. It even said (see below) that he loves my food! No one has ever said that, ever!
All about our past adventures in and around Basel, Switzerland; Quito, Ecuador; Phuket Thailand; Grand Bahama, The Bahamas; and now back in Thailand. Featuring Amanda, Luis, Sebastian and of course Lola

Last Sunsets and Early Sunrise
And I was up bright and early (4am) for a race Sunday. Now at 4pm I feel like it is time for bed! But glad I got up to do it!

Nature House Lanta
500 meters from our posh hotel is my favourite Nature House Lanta. After our two night mini break in luxury we were able to move there. And I still love it the best. The people are lovely, rooms clean and big, and with a beautiful beach and pool what more do you need? We finished our holiday with three nights here. A holiday where I learnt loads, or rather reconfirmed. Traveling with other families or being in a family friendly place is key. I am not sure I would ever go on holiday again without knowing there were other kids there. I will also not move around like we did now (although I knew this before we even left).

Rawi Warin Resort
This was definitely Sebastian’s dreams come true. Two nights and three days of total bliss. A water slide, two big pools, play room, table tennis, bikes and the best of all a buffet breakfast. He well and truly loved it. About a 20 minute walk from our usual spot, I wish it was this close on price to our regular spot!

Back to Lanta
Mummy always thought that this wasn’t a trip for a five year old. But I am mature enough not to say ‘I told you so’. Well not yet, I will eventually! We decided not to go to the second planned island (Koh Ngai) and head straight to Koh Lanta. However, almost all was booked for the first two nights in Lanta but i knew it was the place to be for us. Therefore, we are now in a resort for two nights before heading to our favourite cheap as chips bungalow spot. A resort I would never normally book but I will say Sebastian is over the moon. He just loves it. The two hour ferry to Lanta was fantastic and we got to see the other islands, the other one we were going to stay at and Koh Kragan, which was voted best beach in world last year by some magazine. But the minute we got to Lanta and our hotel I was positive we made the right choice.
Koh Mook
After two nights catching up with Mandy and Brad our half term began. Unfortunately we booked our trip before we knew they were coming. Therefore, they left for Phuket and we left to discover two islands in the south before heading to our favourite, Koh Lanta. Koh Mook was the first stop for three nights. We discovered pretty quickly that possibly this was a pre Sebastian trip. It was beautiful and we did get to Emerald Cave but two nights was plenty. Limited vegetarian food didn’t help!
I wish I had good pictures of the cave. It was a long swim in a dark cave. Sebastian was so brave. Then a beautiful but crowded beach.
