Chilean Wine Night

The Bangkok Ladies Wine Club is expanding every month.  Last night I think there was 21 of us.  I am in the midst of planning our weekend to a Thai Vineyard and super happy that it seems to have caught on well here.  I said to Aloni before we went that for sure she would have several connections (the International teaching community is big but in so many ways small), I think she had at least three.

Look who his number 1!

A fun night out with Aloni and the ladies.
And on the other side of the world as I got ready for work this was going on.  I love all my wine clubs and missing this one loads!

New Places - Emquartier Bangkok

I have taken Sebastian to Bounce at least a dozen times.  I have been to the mall bounce is in about a dozen more times.  And I never knew that the next floor up in the mall has an amazing roof top bar/restaurant and gardens.  After an afternoon at Bounce Aloni asked if I had ever been and took us the one floor up.

First we had a good old bounce.

I love finding new places right under our noses.  I could not believe that this amazing spot has been just a floor up from a place I have been so many times.

Aloni and Crew

And the pack is back together again.  I love that we have been able to spend sometime together now that we are back in Asia.  Aloni, Morgan and Lorelei arrived last night from Singapore for a fun filled week in Bangkok.  I have loads of fun planned and it all kicked off with Wednesday pool party last night.  I just forgot to take photos!  Wednesday pool party has really become a hit now the pollution has lifted.  I am so happy!

The fun begins :)

Clean(ish) Air vs Pollution

These are two pictures, one from a month ago and killer pollution, one from today and very little pollution.  Same time of the day.

I am so happy pollution 'season' here is done.  It was terrible.  I am so happy to wake up to these views, maskless and breathing happily again.

Saturday Fun Day

Saturday was NIST's Family Fun Day.  25 pounds entry and all food, games, drinks (soft), crafts included.  There were loads for the kids and Sebastian had a grand time.  I was very disappointed in the food selection as was promised a wide range of vegetarian/vegan food and there was barely anything vegetarian and french fries were vegan.  Besides the fact I could not really eat I do believe that most International Schools talk a big game about doing all the right things for the world (recycle, reduce energy etc).  BUT majorly fail on two of the biggest issues, the consumption of animals and transatlantic flights.   The flights is difficult to manage and still have a school BUT the large amount of meat being served can certainly change!  There are International schools out there that are purely vegan.   And usually we are talking about lunch only, if people want meat then there are two other meals in the day.  Every school that promises to be striving for a better future for their students should model consuming less meat. ANYWAYS, Sebastian had a great time and we all just ate when we got home :)

Sebastian came home tired and we a made dash to the comedy club.

I love being in the Pub and we had a nice evening out :)

Friday Bowling Adventure, Pool and Party

We had three hours after school for a quick adventure to play bowling.  The whole journey there I heard how Luis would wipe the floor with me.  I do not need to say anymore about that, just check the score below.

Water taxi there

It was in the famous Siam Paragon, a bunch of connected malls that we got completely lost in.

But we found the bowling.  And well the score says it all.

Arrived back in time to take Sebastian for some pool fun.

And then somehow I snuck out for a night on the town!  What a Friday!
