Maternal Grandparents Jimmy, Maggie and Mum

Last night I could not sleep and for some reason thought it was a better idea to scroll through some Facebook accounts and steal some photos.

Maggie and her sister Elsie (who I loved very much)

The sisters again

My grandmother, who played five instruments.  This being one.
Oh and this one also - my Mum in the back third from the right.

Chat GTP - Maggie Cozier Margaret "Maggie" Cozier (1915–1998) was a notable Barbadian artist. Largely self-taught, she began exhibiting her work at age 16 and was active in the Trinidad Art Society from 1947 to 1953. She was married to journalist Edward Lloyd "Jimmy" Cozier and was the mother of renowned cricket commentator Tony Cozier.

Chat GTP - Edward Lloyd "Jimmy" Cozier was a prominent Barbadian journalist renowned for his significant contributions to Caribbean media. He held editorial positions at several newspapers across the region, including the Trinidad and Tobago Guardian, the Voice of St. Lucia, and the Barbados Advocate. Notably, he founded the Barbados Daily News, further cementing his influence in Caribbean journalism.

Beyond his journalistic endeavors, Cozier was instrumental in the development of bridge in Barbados. His vision led to the establishment of the Barbados Bridge League, and in recognition of his contributions, the league's dedicated venue is named the "Jimmy Cozier Bridge Centre."

Cozier's legacy extends to his family; his son, Tony Cozier, became a distinguished cricket commentator and writer, often referred to as the voice of West Indies cricket. Tony's illustrious career in sports journalism was undoubtedly influenced by his father's dedication to the craft.

For those interested in a deeper insight into his life and career, Jimmy Cozier authored an autobiography titled Caribbean Newspaperman: An Autobiography: The Life and Times of Jimmy Cozier, chronicling his experiences and contributions to journalism in the Caribbean
