Park time - Life Altering

It was like I entered an alternate universe yesterday evening.  I left my building and street and went to a Benjakitti Park to see their new bike track.  We went with some of Sebastian's friends in the building and we had such a great time.  It is certainly the way forward and I will attempt to go all clean air days!  It was an adventure on the way back as we all piled into a TukTuk and then we finished off a great evening by sharing some pizza.

Scrabble Win!

I am asking myself would I have ignored this Wednesday activity had I lost the game! I hope not.  A couple of us met at a bar last night to play a little scrabble.  All drinking soft drinks! I never would have thought I would see the day.  Wednesday in a bar, not so far fetched.  Soda and scrabble maybe a bit more of a stretch.  But it was super enjoyable, especially with my ZOOMS/GLAM triple Z letter, double word 72 point winning word!

The Deck Kids Club

Bangkok has a million great things to offer but I think it is missing a trick with having places to eat where the kids have loads to entertain themselves with and parents can chill.  Saturday I was bouncing at the trampoline park with Sebastian and often chasing him around soft play.   I guess this is why I love The Deck's kids Sunday so much.  It really is not anything that special, but they offer free activities for children and it manages to keep them busy.  Sunday we went with a small group from our building and a friend visiting from Hanoi and her son JJ.  After we took advantage of the clean air (these days not so many of these) and headed to the park and lastly the pool.

Lauren and her new sweet puppy.  But none for me thanks!

With Luis away, me and Sebastian finished our weekend off with a little Wallace and Gromit.

Starry Nights

After a quiet week of not feeling entirely well, I was looking forward to taking Sebastian to his first Starry Nights at NIST.  It is the most talked about school event of the year and sold out in five minutes.  We were not able to get tickets but Nadia secured two for us on the black market.  She’s been here only a few months and already her reach is far! It is an event much like ‘International Day’ in my other schools.  Lots of stalls out on by different countries and cultures. Loads of student performances and games.  For the fort half hour Sebastian was desperate to go home and then begged me to stay until the end when it was time to go.

Nadia and David

Tonight was our big staff party. Luis could not make it as he had friends fly in from Ecuador and I had planned on going on my own. But, it was an arcade game themed event and most people had group costumes. I felt a little lost and didn’t want to go as a Mario with no Luigi!  But, thankfully, Nadia and David had other plans and we had a nice night out for dinner. I love having them here!

Bruce Adventures

I would love Bruce to live with us forever.  It has been so lovely having him here for the last ten days.  He just fits right in with our family.  He just accepts the little dramas that happens with no judgement and is so easy and wonderful. But as it happens he has other plans and places to explore. Today he jetted off to look at North Thailand, but hopefully he will return here before he leaves Thailand.  We got a dinner in with Chris and Kerry to gossip about The Bahamas and a night out as a family before he left us.

Nadia New Year

After a week of being back we finally saw Nadia and family.  I usually run in to them every day at school but after three weeks in UK for Christmas they all brought back not only some Cadbury chocolate but also some sickness.  Finally, after all seem on the mend we were able to have them over for dinner.  Before they came though Sebastian was dying to go to Wow Science Park. So me and Bruce spent the morning with him, us learning about Science and him waiting to be lit on fire.

Nadia's Mum is also here so it was great to catch up with her as well.
