I will always have a special love for Koh Lanta, I have so many wonderful memories here and just love the vibe and the people. It is great to be back after four years and see the island still holds all its charm. Our very nice bungalow, right beside the pool and beach is 40 US a night and the ‘resort’ is lovely. At night the beach lights up and the atmosphere is wonderful and relaxed. We have been here two days and just been on the beach all day.
What a fabulous day! A lot of work, a Christmas quiz (with some unique rounds I must add), also a tremendous amount of food, home made table settings and decorating. Of course, there was also the excitement of opening presents and then assembling said presents. This year we had a dinner for all the stragglers who did not make it away or home for the holidays. With soaring airfare prices, this meant there were quite a few.
We had a busy but quiet Christmas Eve. I am so thankful for Jacqui being here. She is helpful and great at delegating and just the best. She helped me realise cooking for 20 on the day was a bit crazy. Therefore, we did almost everything Christmas Eve and also Sebastian was such a great help. It also helped both her parents were caterers so she knew what order to do things in, quantities and also she is a great cook. In the evening we had Ecuadorian Lorca soup and got an early night in anticipation of Santa Claus.
I love a Christmas party and even more when it is in the same building. It makes life so easy. Janelle is the Mum of Willa one of Sebastian's besties. It was so lovely. The kids had the best time ever and they had the most festive creative food.
