On Friday I had to take Year 10 for an overnight trip, with some other teachers. It was a long two days. Unfortunately, most of the activities were meant to be outside and it rained both days. It was still a nice time but it had so much more potential. Sunday, I was ready for a relaxing day somewhere other than our place. I found a hotel, that if you paid entry they gave you double back in food and drink vouchers. We basically paid about 50 US dollars, and we got 100 back. It was a very good deal as got to use all the facilities as well.
All about our past adventures in and around Basel, Switzerland; Quito, Ecuador; Phuket Thailand; Grand Bahama, The Bahamas; and now back in Thailand. Featuring Amanda, Luis, Sebastian and of course Lola

Sebastian's First Two Weeks
Sebastian has come home super exhausted every day from school. I think he enjoys it, but it is definitely tiring and takes some getting use too. I love that they send millions of photos and videos so we can keep on how he is doing. Here are a few from his first two weeks.
Iwisyi in the House
Being back in Thailand is so exciting for many reasons but the number on reason is seeing so many people I have missed so much. I cannot believe I got to see Iwisyi twice in one week. She flew into Bangkok Wednesday and came straight to our flat for sushi and wine. It was so great to see how quickly Sebastian warmed to her and just lovely to see her again.

PHUKET
It took me two and a half years to get back, but I made it back. After being locked out of Phuket at the beginning of Covid, it was something I have been waiting for ever since. On Saturday I headed South for the night, to surprise Emma for her birthday. It could not have been a more amazing 24 hours. It was like I had seen all of them yesterday. Iwisyi, Emma, Jacqui and Luke, it was just the best night ever.
Friday Monkey Pod
Monkey Pod is now my favourite place in the city, not only is it a one minute walk away but they let Lola and it feels like you are in the jungle and not the city. I wish I had taken more photos of the actual scenery but imagine we will be back very soon.

First Day at NIST International School
On Monday both Sebastian and myself had our first days of school and I can tell you we have been exhausted ever since! Sebastian loves it, he wakes up every morning ready to go at 6am but he is so tired after. The students are fabulous and I have enjoyed the start but I had no idea what busy meant until now (and that is saying something).

Sebastian and Mum Date - Luis and Lola
The last day before Sebastian and myself head off to school, we had a date. At the same time Luis and Lola took off to the dog park. All of us had brilliant days.
