Freezing Games Night

Saturday was bitterly cold, inside and outside.  That is our main problem, our house is freezing.  It is easily that same temperature outside as inside and it has gotten as low as 10 degrees in the last few days.  We were having games night on Saturday and ended up having to pile everyone in doors.

Amanda's game was a hit, it was so funny and we all had a great night.

The Dream Team

The Dream team has arrived!  The Andersen's boat arrived on Thursday afternoon (along with subfreezing temperatures, today is 9 degrees).  Peter, bravely, brought it back from Miami all by himself and we toasted it after school on Friday.  A wonderful evening, after a super stressful week.

We are super excited for them and cannot wait for our first outing.

January Wine Club

We had a bit of a different one and all went out for dinner.  It was a huge group and actually, not one person had a glass of wine, seemed like it was cocktails for the evening.  It was touch and go for me all day if I could make it but was super happy that I did in the end.

A nice needed night out.  Back to the usual format next month.

Treat Dinner and Pinata's

The last few weeks have been fairly stressful.  Luis's niece, Antonella, has been in hospital and was very sick. She is, thankfully, on the road to recovery but it has not been an easy road.  We decided to have a night off Saturday and spoilt ourselves to dinner.

The Stoned Crab is also on this beach so we got to run around and play hide and seek. Sebastian loves this game.

He was so excited to find me, even if he might have cheated while I was hiding.  Sometimes I am not sure his eyes are actually shut.

He even got to have a ride on a vespa before heading home.

My latest pinata for Emmi's 10th birthday.   This took ages!

Newest BF

After a fairly stressful week, we started the weekend off well with dinner and a playdate with one of Sebastian's new BFFs.  It was a great night, I think it makes extra interesting as we are all from a different country.  We have Ukraine, Switzerland, Luxemburg, Ecuador, Canada, UK and if we count Nationalities we are well into the double digits.

 A firey pudding.

A great way to start a warmer, brighter weekend.

Sebastian Henry

Sebastian Henry has always been lots of fun and is forever changing but these last couple of weeks I have noticed such a huge change in his speaking and understanding.  I am so enjoying this age and trying to savour it as I know before I know it he will be asking to borrow the car (or whatever we are using by that time). The last few days have brought cooler temperatures but the beach is always great no matter what.

He just loves the beach.  And he loves playing with Mum and Dad. I think we have to try and be less fun as he use to love school and now is desperate not to go.

Garden of the Groves Sunday

Last year we spent so much time here but very little this year.  Sebastian loves the broken-down play park, all the turtles, and also having a bit to eat in the cafe.  We met his friend Alex there and all had lunch together.  I was super happy they joined us for lunch as it made it a little less awkward bumping into Sebastian's old baby/toddler group (I just could not crack the local crew but did try my best).  We had a lovely time at lunch, the children behaved so well especially considering it took well over an hour for the food.    It was a very busy afternoon there.

This could be such a great play park.  Every time it seems to be falling a part a little more.  Such a shame really as such a nice spot.
