Budding Artists

A cloudy day was nice but let's be real sunny is always better!  Or certainly more beautiful.  We all had a lovely day, we did some painting (I am changing careers I think), swam in the pool, some went to the beach and we had some visitors.

 Mine for Sebastian
Dad took Sebastian to the beach, I waited at the house for our guests.

Super happy to finally see these two, with no masks (still not at hugs yet, but getting there), lovely to see them.

It really is lovely here.  I have never been a huge fan of staying on the East Coast, hard to swim, and not much to do but relax.   I have converted into an East Coast girl.

Cloudy East Coast

A beautiful cloudy East Coast Day.  I would usually hate clouds but now with Sebastian, it just makes things so much easier.

We ended the day with some yummy nachos and 'Amanda's game'.  What a wonderful break from reality.

Cornwall House

We are in very big danger of becoming those house guests, the ones that never leave, the ones who say they are staying two weeks and end up staying three or four months.  Actually, that is exactly what we are doing, and although our family is lovely, no one can love us this much.  So we rented a house on the east coast for six days.  It is big enough that all can come to visit us and far enough away that they can equally have a break from us.  We arrived today, with Kailee (who is the world's best baby sitter) and it lifted one million tonnes off our shoulders in minutes.

A very beautiful spot, at a deal my father would have been very proud of!  The pool is huge and the views spectacular.
We even had a lovely visit from Hottie and Vicki for a spot of dinner.  It is amazing how after a few hours you can feel a difference from a sea breeze and a beautiful view.

10 Months

Yesterday Sebastian turned 10 months, in less of a lockdown than at 9 months old and still in Barbados.  This is obviously nothing like I imagined his first year of life but I am thankful that we are all safe and in a country that got it right.  This month saw the lockdown here ease up with some more time at the beach and some take away food.  Sebastian also took his first unaided steps, learned to clap, and is super close to saying so many words clearly.  He is getting bigger every day and changing from a baby into a cheeky toddler very quickly.

He clearly loves his mummy and daddy
And he loves having these young ladies around
It is clear he has a love for animals and so far birds are by far his favourite

Now he claps for everything and wants people to clap at him for everything
He adores his daily babysitter as do me and dad
 Fun bath time
Beach time he loves but on hold now as in his 10th month he also got a very bad ear infection and eardrum.
 Daddy and son
 Throwing balls loves this too
And his love for Uncle Craig is ridiculous.
Mummy and Sebastian on the morning of 10 months.
Daddy and Sebastian playing catch.  10 months old today. It is flying by.

Our Home

About a year and a half ago we bought a house in Barbados.  Luis trusted me to view them and send photos but yesterday was the first time he saw it in real life.  I was so excited for him to see it as I knew he would love it and he did.  Sebastian was also very excited about the mango, plum, cherry, and ackee tree.  I am not sure when or if we will ever live in it but we have some great plans if we do.

The back patio which is huge and we love!
 Living room
 One of the two bedrooms
 The back
 Mango Tree
The front again, we are so super excited about the house!

And no post is really complete without a few of Sebastian!  This is his new bath.
And his glamorous walks in the morning.  Cruising in his sunnies, waving at all the people he sees in the morning.
